Girls Are Scary

Why are little girls so scary in horror movies?

I am not afraid of little boys though... I know, I could just kick them in the nuts.

Creativity

Creativity is a mis- and over-used word. Creativity is the process involving the discovery of a new idea or concept, thus you have to create something that has never existed before, in order to be creative.

Pornstars

"Pornstars are the unsung heroes of our era. We took something vital, like sex, and ripped it from society, so we can sell it like bottled water." – Kanye West in an interview

Scientific Thinking

"Engineers are necrophiles", as one of my teachers pointed out. I can't agree more. We warship algorithms and proofs, and always forget, that science is only a language.
We are like a person, who is fluent in Spanish, English, and French, but hates to talk.

Honesty

Be honest. Whenever you lie, smarter people will see right through you, while the rest will not understand.

"Digital nomad" is the wrong phrase, for a traveling geek.

If you are a "digital nomad" you can e-mail, chat, and work. Thus, digitally you are not a nomad at all.

What you are is just a nomad.

"We typically want what we like, and like what we want, but these results suggest that wanting and liking are processed by distinct brain circuits and may not always go hand-in-hand.

[...]

The brain seems to be more stingy with mechanisms for pleasure than for desire."

Evaluating 2009

When Santa asked me if I was a good boy, I would instantly shout "yes!" as a kid. Now that I'm older, I keep wondering what I did wrong, and what I did right on every 1st of January.

This is how I know I am an adult. I do not get any chocolate for it.
